Elaine Trevino is the President of the Almond Alliance of California (AAC), a trade association charged with advocating on regulatory and legislative issues in areas such as food safety, air quality, water, crop protection, worker safety, and feed quality. AAC actively advocates for the positions of almond growers, hullers, shellers, handlers and processors, while educating the industry about upcoming and existing regulatory changes.
Prior to leading AAC, Elaine was President of California Strategic Solutions, a consulting company focused in business development and public and government relations, delivering comprehensive strategies for complex issues. Elaine has diverse experience in both the public and private sectors in the areas of agriculture, transportation, community development and technology.
Before founding California Strategic Solutions, Elaine served as a Deputy Secretary at the California Department of Food and Agriculture for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gov. Gray Davis. She was responsible for the oversight of the California specialty crop block grant funding allocation as well as the international trade programs and the statewide county fair network. Elaine has lead two economic development corporations within California’s Central Valley as well as worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a Community Development and Federal Compliance executive. Elaine is from Fresno, California and holds a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley.
