Tupy is a distinguished scholar and a leading voice in global affairs. He serves as the founder and editor of HumanProgress.org and holds the prestigious position of Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute’s Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity.

Tupy is a renowned author who co-authored the book Superabundance: The Story of Population Growth, Innovation, and Human Flourishing on an Infinitely Bountiful Planet. His articles have appeared in the Financial Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Newsweek, the U.K. Spectator, Foreign Policy, and many others. Marian’s ability to communicate complex global issues to a broader audience has made him a sought-after commentator on international news channels, including BBC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and Fox Business.
Tupy earned his B.A. in international relations and classics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He then pursued a Ph.D. in international relations from the University of St. Andrews in the United Kingdom.
