The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has released its final report on the LandFlex Grant Program, a pioneering pilot initiative launched in response to the 2022 drought. The program was created to promote groundwater sustainability, safeguard drinking water wells, and build resilience through incentives for growers.

The Almond Alliance was one of four key Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs) partnering with DWR to implement the program locally. Through this public-private collaboration, LandFlex helped protect over 16,500 domestic wells, conserve more than 100,000 acre-feet of water, and recharge over 22,000 acre-feet into critically overdrafted basins, all while supporting growers in adopting more sustainable practices.

The Almond Alliance is proud to have played a crucial role in delivering impactful results where it matters most.
