Kelli Evans Named 2023 Almond Alliance Members of the Year

TURLOCK, CA – The Almond Alliance is pleased to announce that Kelli Evans has been named “Member of the Year” in recognition of her invaluable contributions to the almond industry and the Alliance.

Kelli’s dedication to the industry is exemplified by her work with the Almond Alliance and partner Great Valley Seeds in her effort to help the California Department of Food and Agriculture form a new Pollinator Habitat Program.

Her tireless efforts helped secure a new $2 million grant for a new Pollinator Habitat program, covering materials, installation, technical expertise, and maintenance costs to expand certified Bee Friendly, native plant pollinator habitat on working almond farms statewide.

“We are delighted to honor Kelli for her outstanding contributions to the almond industry,” said Aubrey Bettencourt, President and CEO of the Almond Alliance. “Her leadership and dedication have been critical to the success of creating a new Pollinator Habitat Program, which is essential to the sustainability of our industry.”

In addition to her work on the Pollinator Habitat Program, Kelli chairs the newly formed Almond Alliance Grower Committee, amplifying the farmer's voice in the Alliance’s Sacramento, Washington DC, and beyond.

“Kelli’s insights, talents, and time are invaluable to the Almond Alliance, and we are grateful for her dedication to the industry,” said Bettencourt.
